Wooden Ghana Oil extraction
In the old days use wooden ghani, stone ghani to extract seed oils like, groundnut oil, sesame oil, coconut oil, mustard oil and other oils?using bulls.
Now, these mills are run with electricity, modernized wood machines with controlled RPM mechanism.
The oil thus extracted from a wooden Ghani was called as wood pressed oil. It was also referred to as cold-pressed oil. The instrument used to extract oil was called 'Chekku', 'Ghani' .
Now modernized machines available in different manufacturers and different mechines like, wooden rotary type Ghana, Drum type Ghana, Stone crush Ghana, etc? even look,size and price are different.
Process of Wooden Ghana oil extraction
- Select oil seeds with proper sun dried seeds Check moisture percentage before going for crshing, it helps you to know how much we need to add water or jiggery depends on which seeds you are crushing. Example : if you want to crush groundnut seeds having moisture less than 6% you have to add 700 to 800ml of water on 15 kg seeds.
- Once you run the machine slowly add seeds in to it and add slowly water depends on Moisture.
- We suggest before growing to crush the seeds keep it in sunlight for 1 to 2 hours so we can get oil faster way
- Once Ghana start rotating in lower RPM, it will take 40 to utes45 min to get oil completely extracted from seeds.
- After getting the oil slowly remove oil cake from the wooden machine because you delay I removing cake from the pit, it will solidify like rock difficult to remove.
- Once you collected from Oils from machine you can keep it in sunlight to get natural sedimentation or you can run through clothe filtration mechanism
- Natural sediment take 6 to 7 days depends on temperature you are keeping.
- All fresh extracted cold pressed oils having moisture it may create foam in cooking.
- Naturally extracted oils having natural aroma and natural nutritional value.
- Using natural oil to avoid lot of health issue, majorly Heart disease, cancer like dangerous diseases
